Festival Montréal Baroque is recruiting choirs for Handel’sThe Triumph of Time and Truth!
Back by popular request following the success of last year’s magnificent Monteverdi Vespers, Festival Montréal Baroque takes great pleasure in inviting you and your choir to join us in a performance of Handel’s last great oratorio, The Triumph of Time and Truth, with Matthias Maute, Ensemble Caprice, the world-renowned Orchestra Arte del Mondo, visiting Canada for the first time from Germany, international soloists and the Ensemble vocal Arts-Québec.
When? For the grand opening of the Festival’s 16th anniversary edition on ThursdayJune 21 2017 at 7pm at Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours in Old Montreal (400 St Paul St E, Montreal, QC H2Y 1H4)
Dress-rehearsal – Wednesday June 20 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours
Preparatory choral rehearsalsMonday June 11 and Monday June 18 at 7pm - with Marc-Olivier Lacroix (chorus master) and Jean-Francois Major (piano) at the Église Unie Saint-Jean, 110 St Catherine St E, Montreal, QC H2X 1K7
What will you sing? You will be participating in the creation of a majestic surround sound experience for Act I, Time is supreme, and the rousing finale, Hallelujah!
Please note that registration by choir is preferable. We would appreciate having one contact person per choir to facilitate ease of communications. This year we will also be accepting individual choristers.

In return for this exceptional opportunity to create a unique performance with a professional orchestra, soloists and choir, each participating chorister pays a $20 fee. Please note that the Festival is a non-profit organisation and that the registration fee helps us cover the cost of the rehearsals. A discount is available for choristers on the purchase of tickets for the concert, and other Festival concerts.
