Horses, dancers and twenty musicians! The festival remembers the 10th edition in 2012: Apocalypse ... were you there?
The Festival celebrated its 10th edition with LE CARROUSEL DU ROY, an equestrian ballet inspired by the ballet put on to celebrate the engagement of Louis XIII in 1612. This Montréal Baroque production dazzled its audience as much by the beauty of Lully’s music as by the elegance of the horses. The show took place at Place des Vestiges in the Old Port and featured four richly caparisoned horses from Versailles, four Baroque dancers and an orchestra of 20 musicians.
Anecdote: this was an epic adventure, with magical moments for the spectators but challenges for the staff who had to ensure the cleanliness of the venue after the horses had been through! Do you have memories, photos, anecdotes ... share them with us on Facebook!
